Karen K. Rott

Karen K. Rott Karen K. Rott is a fund-raising professional and lifelong civic volunteer. Prior to retiring to Rancho Bernardo in 2004, she served as Director of Major Gifts for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Texas. She was Director of Development for The Senior Source and fulfilled duties as Associate Director for the American Red Cross Dallas Chapter developing major gifts.

Karen is a member of the Rancho Bernardo Community Council, the Board of Directors of the Rancho Bernardo Historical Society and Honorary Deputy Mayor for Rancho Bernardo representing the San Diego North Chamber of Commerce. She has held membership on the Board of Directors for the American Red Cross Dallas Chapter and the Administrative Boards of the Dallas Junior League and Highland Park United Methodist Church. She also received a national award from the DAR in recognition of her contributions to recycling.

After attending the University of Texas for her undergraduate degree, Karen received her masters from Southern Methodist University. She has taught on both the high school and university levels.

Karen and her husband, E-Don, have been married for 43 years. They boast three children and one granddaughter.
