Grant Guidelines

In 2007, The Rancho Bernardo Community Foundation is launching a new grants process that will incorporate multiple funding opportunities for organizations serving the Rancho Bernardo community. In addition, there will be only one grant cycle - Grants will be given at the Thanksgiving Luncheon 2007 and the grant cycle will be January 1, 2008-December 31, 2008. Following is a description of all of the available 2007 funding sources through the Rancho Bernardo Community Foundation:

    Arts & Culture:
    Symphony on the Green Fund
  • For organizations wanting funds for music related activities and programs;
  • Grants must be $2,500 or less.
    Human Services:
    Community Partner Grants
  • For organizations that have received historical support and need grants up to $1,000
  • Organizations that meet the following criteria are eligible for these grants
    - Established community organizations dating back to 2002 or earlier - The Board has identified them as community partners
  • 2007 List attached

    • Discretionary Grants
  • For small projects by organizations that do not meet the Community Partner criteria
  • Grants can be up to $300 each
    Capacity Building:
    Impact Grants
  • These grant applicants must apply for a grant within the chosen subject area. 2007 Grant Subject Area - Capital Campaigns. Projects must be for the purpose of building, renovating or repairing a structure that will improve the quality of life in Rancho Bernardo.
  • Applications can be up to $15,000.
